Job summary

(CHR) Community Health Resources, Inc. is seeking a part-time Recovery Support Specialist for the CSP in Enfield, CT. Duties include assessments, treatment planning, motivational interviewing, and community linkage to support independent living for clients with serious mental illness.

The role involves 20 hours per week, typical schedule Monday–Friday 9 AM–5 PM, on-site. Requires RSS Certification or ability to obtain within a year, plus valid driver’s license and life experience in recovery.

Qualifications

• Valid Recovery Support Certification: High School Diploma required, Life experience.
• RSS 2+ years working with identified populations; self-identifies as having Mental Health and/or Substance use disorder in long term Recovery.
• Advocacy Unlimited: Recovery Support Specialist Certification required or must obtain within one year of hire.
• Valid Driver’s License and use of personal vehicle for position.

Responsibilities

• Conducts Clinical and Risk Assessments and LOCUS.
• Collaborates with individuals to create individualized, person-centered treatment plans and documents progress.
• Use Motivational Interventions to assist clients in meeting goals.
