Job summary

Vesta Management Corporation is seeking an experienced Affordable Housing Recertification Specialist to manage annual and interim income recertifications for residents in LIHTC, Section 8/HUD, HOME, and other subsidized programs.

You will verify income, assets and household composition, prepare notices, and maintain compliant resident files using Yardi and other databases; strong attention to detail required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of affordable housing compliance or related administrative experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• COS/TCS/NCP certifications preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Process annual, interim, and initial certifications for LIHTC, Section 8, HUD, HOME, and related programs.
• Verify income, assets, and household composition using third‑party methods.
• Prepare and distribute recertification notices within required timeframes.
• Audit resident files for accuracy before submission.
• Enter and maintain data in property management/compliance software (e.g., Yardi).
• Coordinate with Property Managers to resolve discrepancies and maintain timelines.
