Job summary

Vesta Management in Manchester, CT is seeking an experienced Affordable Housing Recertification Specialist to support operations at Squire Village. The role focuses on annual and interim income recertifications for LIHTC, Section 8, HOME, and other subsidized housing programs, ensuring compliance and accurate documentation.

Ideal candidates have strong attention to detail, familiarity with income verification, and COS/TCS/NCP certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years in affordable housing compliance, property management, or related administrative role.
COS, Tax Credit Specialist (TCS/C3P), or National Compliance Professional (NCP) certification preferred.
Background check and drug screening required; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Process annual, interim, and initial certifications/recertifications per program guidelines (LIHTC, Section 8, HUD Multifamily, HOME).
Verify resident income, assets, and household composition; complete third-party verification.
Prepare and distribute recertification notices within required timeframes; review files for accuracy.
Maintain resident files in compliance; enter/update data in Yardi or comparable software.
Assist with move-in certifications and waitlist eligibility as needed.
