Job summary

Vesta Management Corporation is hiring an Affordable Housing Recertification Specialist for Squire Village in Manchester, CT. You will manage annual and interim income recertifications for LIHTC, Section 8/HUD, HOME, and related programs, ensuring compliance with applicable rules.

You will verify income and household data, prepare notices, and coordinate with Property Managers to resolve discrepancies. COS/TCS/NCP certifications are preferred and experience with Yardi noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in affordable housing compliance, property management, or related administrative role.
• Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Tax Credit Specialist (TCS/C3P), or National Compliance Professional (NCP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process annual, interim, and initial certifications/recertifications per program guidelines (LIHTC, Section 8, HUD Multifamily, HOME).
• Verify resident income/assets and household composition using third-party methods.
• Prepare and distribute recertification notices within required timeframes.
• Review resident files for accuracy and completeness prior to submission.
• Calculate rent and utility allowances based on verified income.
• Maintain compliant resident files and update data in Yardi or similar software.
• Communicate required documentation and deadlines to residents.
