Vesta Management is hiring an experienced Affordable Housing Recertification Specialist to support Windham Heights Apartments in Willimantic, CT. The role oversees annual and interim income recertifications for residents in LIHTC, Section 8/HUD, HOME, and other subsidized housing programs.

Strong attention to detail, knowledge of income verification, and COS/TCS/NCP certifications are preferred. Proficiency with Yardi and other property management tools is desirable, with a commitment to

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with affordable housing compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process annual, interim, and initial certifications/recertifications per program guidelines (LIHTC, Section 8, HUD, HOME).
• Verify resident income, assets, and household composition using third-party methods.
• Prepare and distribute recertification notices within required timeframes.
• Audit resident files for accuracy before submission.
• Calculate rent and utility allowances based on verified income.
• Maintain compliant resident files and update data in property management software.
