Job summary

America's Best in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a friendly Receptionist to greet customers and manage front desk duties. You will maintain patient records and help with appointment flow to ensure a smooth store operation in an optical retail environment.

Responsibilities include answering calls, scheduling appointments, processing insurance information, and keeping the reception area organized. High school diploma required; prior front desk experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Receptionist or front office role is preferred but not required.
• 0-2 years related experience or training preferred.
• Experience handling multiple phone lines preferred.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Strong organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and welcome them at the store entrance.
• Maintain organized patient records and assist with appointment flow.
• Provide prompt, courteous service to customers in person or on the phone.
• Answer, screen, and forward calls per National Vision protocol.
• Process information from insurance plans when needed.
• Schedule and confirm appointments and classes.
• File daily patient records and prepare for next-day appointments.
• Check order status and inform customers of delays.
• Keep reception area tidy and stocked with necessary materials.
• Handle daily mail/deliveries and inventory of office supplies.
