Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Associate to efficiently load and unload shipments, prepare merchandise for the floor, and maintain accurate receiving records. The role focuses on stocking, merchandising, and following SOPs to ensure items are easy to reach and in stock across the sales floor.

You will use scan guns and computer-based software, operate forklifts and pallet jacks when needed, and participate in cross-training to support multiple departments.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of receiving experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
• Proven track record of consistently producing error-free work and meeting quality standards.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments; prepare merchandise for storage or sale.
• Ensure products are in stock, well-distributed, and properly merchandised on apparel racks.
• Follow SOPs for receiving and processing apparel; maintain accurate records.
• Operate scan guns and computer systems for receipt documentation.
• Monitor shortages daily; communicate discrepancies to management.
• Maintain receiving paperwork and organize product on carts and in stock areas.
• Assist in store-to-store transfers, shipping, and receiving; support inventory levels.
