Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Associate to efficiently load and unload shipments, unpack merchandise, prepare items for the floor, set up displays, and ensure stock is easy to reach, in stock, well distributed, and safely stored through accurate merchandising of apparel and other departments.

Responsibilities include processing purchase orders with scan guns and inventory software, daily monitoring of shortages or discrepancies, maintaining receiving records, assisting with DC truck sorting

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of receiving experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Able to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
• Proven track record of consistently producing error-free work and meeting quality standards.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments and prepare merchandise for storage or display.
• Use scan guns and computer-based software to document receipts.
• Monitor and address purchase order and DC shortages daily, communicating discrepancies.
• Maintain thorough records by daily filing of receiving paperwork.
• Assist in store-to-store transfers, shipping and receiving, and inventory management during high-demand periods.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other general office equipment.
• Collaborate with the receiving team for seamless operations and adherence to SOPs.
