Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Associate to efficiently load and unload shipments, prepare items for storage or display, and ensure accurate merchandising and stock levels. You will follow SOPs, use scan guns, and maintain records daily to support store and distribution center operations.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in receiving, can work independently, and are comfortable navigating computer systems to assist customers and manage inventory.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of receiving experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
• Proven track record of consistently producing error-free work and meeting quality standards.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments and prepare merchandise for storage or store display.
• Follow SOPs for receiving and processing apparel; ensure accurate merchandising of apparel racks.
• Use scan guns and computer software for accurate receipt documentation.
• Monitor purchase orders and DC discrepancies; report variances daily.
• Maintain records by filing receiving paperwork daily.
• Assist in inventory management of sales floors during peak periods.
• Support shipping, transfers, and UPS transfers with accurate recordkeeping.
