Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Residential Rear Load Driver (Non-CDL). You will service customers by hauling waste/recycling with various trucks, following safety rules, and maintaining clean equipment. The role requires frequent truck entry/exit, route flexibility, and professional customer interactions.

Applicants must be able to read maps, handle physical tasks, and communicate in English. A valid DOT card and clean driving record are preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Ability to enter/exit the truck 300–500 times per day.
• General knowledge of truck mechanics.
• Good written and verbal communication with customers.
• Must read and speak English well.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services safely by emptying containers into the truck.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck 300–500 times daily on assigned routes.
• Move containers from enclosures or buildings as needed.
• Replace receptacles neatly at curb or designated area.
• Clean spills and maintain waste containment.
• Update route and driver logs; perform pre/post trip inspections.
• Interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain truck cleanliness and handle bin deliveries as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
