Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling seeks a Residential Rear Load Driver to service customers and haul waste or recycling to disposal sites. Operates various trucks on multiple routes.

Ideal candidates have a valid Class B CDL, a DOT Medical Card, and can work nights/weekends. This role requires physical effort, safety focus, and strong customer service, with excellent benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class B CDL.
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Card.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
• No DUI/OVI within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way, by emptying trash/recycling containers into truck and hauling to disposal site
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day, depending on the assigned route
• May be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area
• Clean up waste spills and overflows
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cleanliness of truck cab
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
