Job summary

Off The Hook is hiring a Prep Cook to help us deliver premium Real Cajun Real Fast dishes in a fast-paced Cajun kitchen. You will set up stations, prepare ingredients, and work with teammates to maintain high quality and timely service.

Requirements include detail-oriented, organized work style; 1 year of restaurant experience; high school diploma or equivalent; must be 16 or older and able to work various shifts. Training programs provided.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Able to work a variety of shifts including days, weekends, and travel as needed for work related functions and training.
• 1 year of restaurant experience
• Must complete all required Off The Hook company training programs
• Must be 16 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
• Possess a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow GM's instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
• Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
• Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism
