Job summary

Reading Corps, powered by Ampact, is hiring Reading Tutors in Minnesota to help students become strong readers. You’ll receive training and coaching, delivering proven activities in 20-minute tutoring blocks within a school day. You’ll track progress and support students as they build reading skills and confidence.

Positions run with a schedule of 35 hours per week, with part-time options at 25 hours. AmeriCorps stipends are provided biweekly, with education awards and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18 years of age or older with a HS diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
