Job summary

Ampact is hiring Reading Corps Reading Tutors to support students in Minnesota. You will tutor pairs of students for 20 minutes daily, tracking progress and coordinating with an on-site coach. Training and ongoing coaching are provided to support your growth.

Roles run during the 2026-2027 school year with part-time and full-time options; AmeriCorps stipends and education awards apply. Strong attendance and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

Must be dependable with a history of good attendance.
Able to follow instructions and implement feedback.
Basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent; US citizen or eligible.
Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive.
Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
Enter student scores in data software.
Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
Share your experience with the community.
