Job summary

Reading Corps is powered by Ampact and seeks Reading Tutors to help students become confident readers in Minnesota schools. You’ll deliver proven activities, coach students daily, and monitor progress with on-site support.

The role includes AmeriCorps stipend and education award opportunities, with a schedule aligned to the school year. Positions run Aug 2026–June 2027, with 35 hours weekly (full-time) or 25 hours weekly (part-time).

Qualifications

• Must be dependable with good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and adapt to feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer use (email, simple data entry).

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the on-site coach at the school.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores in data software.
• Commit to own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your tutoring experience with the community.
