Job summary

Ampact's Reading Corps is hiring a Reading Tutor to help students in local Minnesota schools become strong readers. You will deliver proven activities, coach students daily, and participate in ongoing training.

Each school day, you’ll work with pairs of students for 20 minutes, track progress, and collaborate with an on-site coach. This AmeriCorps position offers development, community impact, and a stipend.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent and U.S. eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to provide support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
