Job summary

Ampact is seeking Reading Corps Reading Tutors in Minnesota to help students improve reading skills in a school setting. You will lead daily tutoring sessions, track progress, and collaborate with an on-site coach. Training and coaching are provided to support your growth.

Positions run for the 2026-27 school year with a 35-hour work week, daytime hours, and no weekends. Part-time options (25 hrs/week) may be available. An AmeriCorps stipend and education awards are offered.

Qualifications

• Reliable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent and eligible to participate in AmeriCorps.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions for paired students for 20 minutes daily.
• Track student progress and coordinate with on-site coach.
• Enter scores and assessments in data software used by the program.
• Participate in coaching and training to grow professionally.
• Commit to growth and share experiences with the community.
