Job summary

Supportive Steps Services Inc is seeking a highly skilled Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Lakeport, CA to deliver one-on-one ABA services in home and community settings. The ideal candidate has a strong clinical foundation, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping clients reach their goals.

Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred. The role requires travel up to 50 miles, reliable transportation, and willingness to meet varied client schedules, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or in progress (Education, Psychology, Social Work, ABA, Counseling, Rehabilitation, or related field).
• RBT certification preferred; willing to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and comfortable driving clients.
• Willing to travel up to 50 miles from home or assigned location (Lakeport, CA).
• Must complete background checks, CPR certification, and trainings.
• Experience with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one adaptive skills support and behavior intervention in home and community settings.
• Collaborate with the treatment team, caregivers, and clinical supervisors to implement individualized goals.
• Teach and model behavioral, social, and daily living skills to foster independence.
• Assist clients with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community participation.
• Support clients in vocational, volunteer, and recreational activities aligned with their interests.
• Document sessions accurately and communicate progress to the clinical team.
• Uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
• Transport clients safely using a personal vehicle when needed.
