Job summary

Supportive Steps Services in California seeks a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join a compassionate ABA team. The role supports clients in home and community settings, building daily living and independence skills while coordinating with families and clinicians.

Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred. Candidates must meet communication needs, complete background checks, and be willing to travel up to 50 miles from home to serve multiple counties across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related human services field.
• RBT certification preferred; willing to obtain within 90 days.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and comfortable driving clients.
• Willing to travel up to 50 miles from home or assigned location.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one adaptive skills support and behavior intervention in home and community settings.
• Collaborate with the treatment team, caregivers, and clinical supervisors to implement goals.
• Teach and model behavioral, social, and daily living skills to foster independence.
• Assist clients with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community participation.
• Support clients in vocational, volunteer, and recreational activities aligned with personal interests.
• Document sessions accurately and communicate progress to the clinical team.
• Uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
• Transport clients safely using a personal vehicle when needed.
