Job summary

Supportive Steps Services is seeking a highly skilled Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to serve clients in homes and communities across Lake County, Mendocino County, and Hidden Valley. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical foundations, excellent communication, and a passion for high-quality ABA services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, ABA, Counseling, or related human services field (Required).
• RBT certification preferred; willing to obtain within 90 days of hire (Required).
• Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and be comfortable driving clients.
• Willing and able to travel up to 50 miles from home or assigned location (Lake County/Mendocino County/Hidden Valley).

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one adaptive skills support and behavior intervention in home and community settings.
• Collaborate with the treatment team, caregivers, and clinical supervisors to implement goals.
• Teach and model behavioral, social, and daily living skills to foster independence.
• Assist clients with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community participation.
• Support clients in vocational, volunteer, and recreational activities aligned with interests.
• Document sessions accurately and communicate progress to the clinical team.
• Transport clients safely using a personal vehicle when needed.
