Job summary

Opal Autism Centers in Eagle, Idaho, is seeking a Behavior Technician (RBT in Training) to join our center-based team. This paid, full-time role offers structured RBT training, mentorship from BCBA mentors, and pathways to certification as you support children with autism and their families.

New hires are paid a flat training rate during the initial period, with increases once RBT certification is obtained and client sessions begin.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; further education in psychology, special education, or related fields is a plus.
• Willingness to complete the RBT training program and attain certification.
• Ability to obtain CPR certification before your employment start date.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Comfortable working fully on-site in a center-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and complete the 40-hour RBT training program.
• Shadow and assist RBTs and BCBAs in implementing treatment plans.
• Collect and record electronic data on client behaviors and progress.
• Engage clients in therapeutic activities to facilitate learning.
• Communicate with families about daily progress.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain adherence to BACB guidelines.
