Job summary

Opal Autism Centers in Meridian, ID is seeking a Behavior Technician in Training (RBT in Training) to support children with autism in a center-based setting. You will participate in a structured 40-hour RBT training, shadow RBTs and BCBAs, and collect data to track progress.

During training, you will be paid at a flat rate of $11.00/hour, with an increase to the agreed rate after certification and client sessions begin.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children and individuals with special needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to complete the RBT training program and attain certification.
• Ability to obtain CPR certification before employment start date.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and complete the 40-hour RBT training program to develop knowledge and skills in behavior analysis.
• Shadow and assist RBTs and BCBAs in implementing treatment plans.
• Collect and record electronic data on client behaviors and progress.
• Engage clients in therapeutic activities to facilitate learning and growth.
• Communicate with families about their child's daily progress.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions to further understanding of ABA principles.
• Maintain adherence to ethical guidelines and regulations per BACB guidelines.
