Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Territory Business Manager for a rare disease GI/Hepatology launch in the Charlottesville, VA area. You will lead territory strategy, engage GI/Hepatology specialists, and drive pull-through with clinically focused presentations that communicate value.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional partners and a proactive, autonomous approach. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sales, 3+ years in GI/Hepatology or rare

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business or related field.
• 5+ years pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sales experience.
• 3+ years GI/Hepatology sales experience/rare disease preferred.
• Strong ability to learn complex scientific information and communicate clearly.
• Willingness to travel with a valid driver’s license.
• Experience launching products in a competitive marketplace.
• Ability to learn complex scientific information and communicate clearly.
• Must be self‑motivated with a high level of autonomy and independence.
• Strong technical & analytical skills including CRM and Microsoft Office; proficiency with AI.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and/or exceed sales goals in assigned territory by executing an integrated territory business plan.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with targeted physicians to maximize opportunities.
• Navigate a complex matrixed selling environment with collaboration across functions.
• Use data tools and insights to shape strategies and actions for business decisions.
• Plan activities to ensure regular coverage of the territory and manage the territory budget.
• Use data tools and insights to determine strategies and tactics for business decisions.
• Demonstrate account-based selling skills including group presentations.
• Plan and organize activities to ensure coverage of the territory per plan.
• Manage territory budget to support sales and marketing activities.
• Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner.
• Execute the company’s DSE and future brand strategy within the territory.
• Participate in training and development programs.
• Comply with policies with integrity and professionalism.
• Additional duties as required.
