Job summary

PTC Therapeutics, Inc is seeking a Field-based Patient Engagement Liaison to support individuals with rare diseases, caregivers, and patient advocacy groups. Primary focus on PKU, with potential involvement in additional disease areas of interest to PTC.

The role involves engaging with patient communities, educating and building relationships across cross-functional teams to help address access and coverage issues for marketed products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, advocacy, medical, or related field.
• Experience supporting people with rare diseases, their caregivers and advocacy organizations.

Responsibilities

• Engages with the rare disease community and patient advocacy organizations to understand experiences and inform programs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to build and leverage relationships with patients, caregivers, and advocacy groups.
• Assist with resources to remove access barriers and support coverage for marketed products.
• Build patient advocacy and community relationships for current and development product states.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure country-specific guidelines and regulations are followed.
• Connect families to patient advocacy organizations and resources.
• Develop, plan and execute educational programs for those living with rare diseases and their caregivers.
• Support advocacy organizations through education and program collaboration.
• Advocate for access to care and therapies.
