Job summary

PTC Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Field-based Patient Engagement Liaison to support rare disease communities, caregivers, and patient advocacy organizations. This role will primarily support the PKU community and may cover other disease areas of interest to PTC.

Responsibilities include building relationships with patient groups, enabling access to resources, and educating stakeholders. Travel up to 75% domestic with potential international travel; base salary ranges from $120,000 to $140,000,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, advocacy, medical, or related field.
• Experience supporting people with rare diseases, their caregivers and advocacy organizations.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the rare disease community, including patient advocacy organizations, to understand the rare experience and inform PTC.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and build relationships with patients, caregivers, and advocacy groups.
• Assist the community with resources to help remove access barriers to gain coverage for marketed products.
• Build patient advocacy and community relationships for current and development-stage products.
• Work cross-functionally with medical, communications, commercial, legal and compliance teams to adhere to country guidelines.
• Connect families to Patient Advocacy Organizations and resources.
• Develop and execute educational programs for patients and caregivers.
• Support Patient Advocacy Organizations through shared education and programs.
• Advocate for access to care and therapies within the community.
