Job summary

PTC Therapeutics, a global biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a field-based Patient Engagement Liaison to support PKU and other rare disease communities. You will connect with patient advocacy organizations, caregivers, and internal teams to advance access to therapies and educate communities.

Responsibilities include developing educational programs, removing access barriers, and coordinating with medical, communications, commercial, legal and compliance colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, advocacy, medical, or related field.
• Experience supporting people with rare diseases, their caregivers and advocacy organizations.

Responsibilities

• Engage with rare disease communities and patient advocacy organizations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to build relationships with patients and caregivers.
• Assist with resources to remove access barriers for marketed products.
• Develop and support patient advocacy programs and education.
• Coordinate with medical, communications, commercial, legal and compliance teams.
• Connect families to patient advocacy organizations and resources.
• Plan and execute educational programs for patients and caregivers.
• Support advocacy groups through shared education and programs.
• Advocate for access to care and therapies with the community.
