Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Rare Disease Business Manager (RDBM) to drive sales for Alpha-1 therapies across a broad territory, including Alabama and surrounding areas with potential travel. The role partners with hospital teams, infusion centers, and payors to expand patient starts and retention.

The RDBM will build strategic plans, educate healthcare professionals about products, and work with marketing and national accounts. Travel expectations may be up to 50% with some local travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with clinical sales background required.
• 3+ years of successful selling experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device and/or relevant clinical or industry experience; or 2+ years of successful selling experience at Takeda.
• RDBM will live within territory and manage territory from Border-to-Border.
• Experience with payor and reimbursement challenges.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales quotas by driving new patient starts and sales in outpatient infusion centers and hospitals.
• Educate and inform healthcare professionals on Takeda Alpha-1 therapies.
• Build the national sales and marketing strategy and a territory business tactical plan.
• Call on prospective customers, deliver compelling presentations, provide product information and demonstrations, and maintain compliance with promotional and expense policies.
• Collaborate with home office personnel, Marketing/Brand teams, and national accounts for pull-through of product sales.
• Conduct community education events for healthcare professionals and patients, with possible nights/weekends.
