Job summary

Piedmont Airlines is seeking a Ramp Supervisor in the Ground Handling Department to manage operational activities, oversee training, and coordinate schedules. The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to defuse conflicts, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Prior airline experience is a plus. The position reports to the General Manager and offers a starting rate of $20.56/hour with a comprehensive benefit package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred for consideration.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are essential.
• Experience with airline operations and basic airport procedures is a plus.
• Knowledge of QIK and Sabre systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and direct on-the-job training for new hires and recurrent training.
• Conduct briefing and distribution of training material/checklists to mentors.
• Create and coordinate schedules.
• Provide hands-on assistance to Training Department and feedback to managers.
• Approve employees for release to duty after training.
• Coach staff and support career development.
• Correct non-compliant behavior and apply disciplinary action as needed.
• Manage staff with varied duties and ensure on-time performance.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports.
