Job summary

Talent With Heart is seeking a Roadway/Utility Superintendent for day and night work in the Raleigh, NC area. You will lead roadway and underground utility crews on high-profile DOT projects, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and coordination with inspectors and engineers.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in heavy civil or utility supervision, DOT experience, and the ability to read plans. Relocation to the Triangle is welcome as the company has a strong pipeline of work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway and/or underground utility experience at superintendent or senior foreman level.
• DOT roadway or utility project experience; night work a plus.
• Able to read plans and specs and keep accurate quantities.
• Ready to work day or night shifts as needed by the project.
• NCDOT project experience is a plus.
• OSHA 30 is a plus.
• HCSS HeavyJob or similar field tracking experience is a plus.
• Based in the Triangle or willing to relocate to Raleigh area.

Responsibilities

• Run day and night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and their foremen.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries.
• Plan the work and shift the project schedule shift to shift.
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures within approved work windows.
• Work directly with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production.
• Complete daily reports, crew time and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and other shift.
