Job summary

Your Talent Team is seeking a Roadway / Utility Superintendent for day and night shifts in the Raleigh area. You will manage roadway and underground utility crews on highway projects, coordinating with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers to keep work flowing and safe.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in heavy civil roadway or underground utilities, experience with DOT projects, and the ability to read plans and manage quantities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway and/or underground utility experience at superintendent or senior foreman level.
• DOT roadway or utility project experience, night work a plus.
• Ability to read plans and specs and keep accurate quantities.
• Knowledge of traffic control and work zone safety.
• Ready to work day or night shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Run day and night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and foremen.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries.
• Plan the work and shift schedule to meet project timelines.
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures within approved work windows.
• Work with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production.
• Complete daily reports, crew time and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and other shift.
