Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is seeking a Track Laborer - Driver Eligible to join our team. You will help build and maintain tracks across the network, ensuring safe, timely movement of trains and high service quality.

The role involves physical, outdoor work in various weather conditions and requires adherence to strict safety standards. The position requires 21+ years of age, the ability to obtain necessary certifications, and the willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to pass a Physical Ability Test (PAT) and medical requirements.
• May need to obtain CDL during probation if operating heavy vehicles.
• Able to operate company vehicles as required.
• Able to lift up to 65 lbs and push/pull up to 119 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Handle, unload and move track materials and equipment.
• Remove and replace rails, anchors, spikes, ballast and ties.
• Work with equipment; dig holes and trenches as needed.
• Observe track conditions for problems or defects.
• Follow safety rules and FRA regulations.
• Develop positive working relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
• Drive company vehicles as needed.
• Maintain track beds and clear vegetation.
