Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is seeking a Track Laborer - Driver Eligible to support our engineering and track maintenance teams. The role involves handling track materials, maintaining rails, and ensuring safe operations across North America.

Candidates must meet FMCSA medical qualifications and pass an English assessment during the interview process. A CDL may be required for certain vehicle operations; the position is based in Oregon with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must pass an English assessment before interview.
• FMCSA medical qualifications may apply during probation.

Responsibilities

• Handle, unload and move track materials and equipment from rail cars, carts or trucks.
• Remove and replace rails, rail anchors, spikes, ballast, ties and other parts as needed.
• Work with equipment; dig holes and trenches, etc.
• Observe track condition (beds and right-of-way) for problems or defects.
• Follow company safety rules, practices and FRA regulations.
• Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and customers.
