Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Railroad Track & Civil Review/Design Engineer for Public Projects to contribute to a diverse rail portfolio. You will work with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians on plan reviews, design projects, and field inspections across Class I and commuter rail venues.

The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of railroad civil design or review experience and proficiency with MicroStation, InRoads, or OpenRail Designer, plus strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of Civil Engineering design or plan review experience for railroad projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Experience using MicroStation and InRoads and/or OpenRail designer.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Public Project Plan reviews and design projects.
• Perform site inspections and develop/review track and civil design plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Conduct field inspections and provide reports for clients.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians to deliver services for rail projects.
