Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Railroad Track & Civil Review/Design Engineer to contribute to public projects and rail infrastructure. You will participate in public project plan reviews, design projects, and site inspections, developing track and civil design plans, specs, and cost estimates while collaborating with project teams.

Prior railroad project experience and MicroStation/InRoads/OpenRail Designer skills are preferred. The role offers a hybrid schedule with multiple U.S.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of Civil Engineering design or plan review experience for railroad projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel etc.).
• Experience using MicroStation and InRoads and/or OpenRail designer.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to convey complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Work on behalf of Railroad Clients to protect their ROW and operations and to assist in delivering successful projects.
• Provide constructive designs and review comments to progress projects on schedule.
• Assist in meeting project deadlines within budget.
• Review design plans and collaborate with Project Managers and Design Engineers.
• Perform field inspections and generate client-ready reports.
