Benesch is seeking a Railroad Track & Civil Review/Design Engineer for Public Projects. You will work on a variety of rail projects, reviewing plans, performing site inspections, and collaborating with project teams to deliver quality designs for freight and commuter railroads.

The role offers hybrid flexibility and opportunities to contribute expertise across multiple offices, including Milwaukee, WI, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of Civil Engineering design or plan review experience for railroad projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Experience using MicroStation and InRoads and/or OpenRail designer.
• Excellent organizational & communication skills to convey complex concepts to engineers, clients, and public stakeholders.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to meet project demands.

Responsabilités

• Participate in Public Project Plan reviews and design projects.
• Perform site inspections and develop or review track and civil design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Conduct field inspections to support project delivery.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians to deliver services for rail projects.
