Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Railroad Track & Civil Review/Design Engineer to join our Public Projects Civil/Track Design Review team. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians to deliver services for freight and commuter rail projects, including plan reviews and field inspections.

The role requires experience with MicroStation InRoads and/or OpenRail Designer, and a willingness to travel occasionally. Hybrid work options are available across multiple US locations.

Qualifications

2-5 years of Civil Engineering design or plan review experience for railroad projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.).
Experience using MicroStation and InRoads and/or OpenRail Designer.

Responsibilities

Participate in Public Project Plan reviews and design projects.
Perform site inspections and develop/review track and civil design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Work with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians to deliver services for rail projects.
Conduct field inspections and prepare client reports.
