RTD in Denver seeks a Rail Operations Supervisor to oversee Rail Operators, coordinate with the Regional Operations Center in real time, and ensure safe, reliable, on‑time service. You will monitor performance, respond to incidents, and promote strong communication between ROC staff and Operators.

The role requires a safety‑minded leader with knowledge of transit operations, experience supervising staff, and the ability to manage disruptions with effective decisions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year in transit operations, maintenance, schedule making, or related support function.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass DSPD background screening.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Rail Operators, including training, coaching, performance management.
• Oversee daily rail operations and resolve operational issues to ensure safe, reliable service.
• Maintain real‑time communication with the Regional Operations Center to coordinate service adjustments.
• Respond to service disruptions and emergencies with appropriate operational solutions.
• Ensure compliance with rail operating rules, policies, procedures, and federal regulations.
• Document incidents and prepare reports for safety and performance reviews.
• Inspect stations, platforms, yards, and facilities for safety and readiness.
• Support customer service by assisting passengers and monitoring rider behavior.
• Collaborate with internal departments on cross‑functional initiatives.
