HDR s workshare approach enables collaboration across disciplines and locations. This role emphasizes ownership, mentorship from engineers and project managers, and travel for project meetings and field assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or pursuing licensure.
• Plans to take FE exam.
• Internship, co-op, research or field experience related to engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MicroStation, Revit, GIS, Bluebeam.
• Construction inspection, field assessment or surveying experience.
• Interest in freight rail, transit, industrial or transportation infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, construction and delivery of rail infrastructure projects.
• Assist with technical deliverables such as calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, exhibits and cost estimates.
• Contribute to projects involving track, facilities, civil infrastructure, environmental services, construction field services and advisory support.
• Participate in site visits, field assessments and project walkthroughs.
• Utilize engineering, design and analytical tools to support project development and delivery.
• Research and apply applicable codes, standards and client requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, environmental, advisory, technology and construction disciplines.
• Work alongside experienced engineers, project managers and technical specialists to develop your technical and professional skills.
• Travel periodically for project meetings, field assignments and client-related activities.
