Job summary

HDR is seeking an entry-level rail EIT to contribute to planning, design and delivery of rail infrastructure projects across diverse North American locations. You will assist with technical deliverables, engage in site visits, and work with teams across engineering, environmental, advisory and construction disciplines to deliver quality solutions.

You will gain experience on projects serving class I railroads, short line and regional networks, with opportunities for professional growth,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or plans to pursue licensure.
• Internship or related experience in engineering, transportation or infrastructure.
• Interest in railroad design and transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, construction and delivery of rail infrastructure projects.
• Assist with technical deliverables including calculations, drawings, specs, reports and estimates.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in site visits and field assessments.
