Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Virginia's Pantops Urgent Care is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic exams, ensure patient safety and accurate documentation in the EMR. The role requires ARRT certification, BLS, and an associate degree in radiologic technology, with preferred state licensure and EPIC/PACS training.

Travel to other facilities may be required. The position offers competitive pay, 24 hours weekly, and a days/evenings shift within a supportive health system

Qualifications

• ARRT certification is required.
• BLS certification preferred or required upon hire.
• State licensure preferred unless required by the state where the job is performed.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and protection.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization equipment and cares for patients with safety and professionalism.
• Documents patient encounters in the EMR.
• Selects appropriate exposure factors to protect patient and equipment.
• Maintains skills, may travel to other facilities for coverage as needed.
