Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an X-ray Technician to perform digital radiographic examinations, document encounters in EMR, and ensure patient safety and image quality. The role requires ARRT certification and a current state licensure as preferred. BLS is required or to be obtained upon hire.

EPIC EHR and PACS training is preferred in this high-volume setting. Applicants should have an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology and at least 1 year of experience in radiation safety and patient care.

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT is required.
• State licensure preferred, unless required by the state where the job is performed.
• BLS from American Heart Association is required.
• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology from ARRT-accredited program preferred.
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and radiation protection.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization equipment and devices, ensuring patient safety.
• Documents patient encounters within Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Determines and selects proper technical factors to safeguard patient, x-ray tube, and equipment.
• Travel to other facilities as needed and support patient care, including scribing duties when required.
