Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is seeking a Diagnostic Radiology professional for a weekend day shift, full-time role in Pensacola, FL. The position focuses on capturing high-quality diagnostic images, enforcing safety protocols, and guiding patients through the imaging process.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire/transfer date required.
• Credentialing options include CCI Cardiographic Tech, ARRT Radiologic Technologist (CT) or Radiography, Florida Radiologic Technology, ARRT Radiography, or ARDMS Medical Sonography.
• Education requirements include high school equivalency with experience or an associate/technical degree or 4 years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-fidelity diagnostic images to aid physician decisions.
• Adhere to radiation protection protocols and select accurate exposure factors.
• Guide patients through imaging journey with clear communication and proper positioning.
• Maintain peak equipment performance and optimize imaging protocols.
• Ensure accuracy of patient data, markers, and histories for diagnostic review.

• Advocate for patient safety by meticulously applying radiation protection protocols and selecting precise exposure factors to minimize unnecessary risks.
• Guide patients through the imaging journey by providing clear communication, compassionate positioning, and continuous monitoring to ensure their comfort and safety.
• Optimize clinical workflows by maintaining peak equipment performance and refining imaging protocols to elevate the department's standard of care.
• Manage the integrity of the patient's digital record by ensuring all data, markers, and histories are accurately submitted for a seamless diagnostic review.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Radiologic Technology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• ARRT Certification. Must be currently registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• State Licensure. A valid, current state license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist (as required by local regulations).
