Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Outpatient Imaging in Pensacola, FL, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to join the Diagnostic Imaging team. You will operate scanners for imaging, position patients, and ensure accurate technical parameters are used to create diagnostic cross-sectional images.

The role requires ARRT credentials (Radiography or MRI), a BLS certification, and an Associate degree or equivalent experience. Expect day shifts with PRN coverage and strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 1 month of hire.
• ARRT Radiography or ARRT MRI credential required prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate a scanner to obtain images used to diagnose and treat pathologies.
• Prepare and position patients and select anatomical and technical parameters to produce cross-sectional images.
• Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
• Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images and develop film per protocol.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Operate a scanner to obtain images used to diagnose and treat of pathologies.
• Prepare and position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
• Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
• Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develop film in an automatic processor.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• 7:30 am - 5 pm | Weekends included | Must travel to all locations - Perdido, Summit, Tiger Point, Milestone
