Job summary

Ascension is hiring for its Cardiac Cath Lab in Pensacola, FL. You will lead real-time physiological monitoring and support high-stakes clinical decisions during complex procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, maintaining a sterile field, and ensuring infection control while guiding patients on post-procedure care and site monitoring.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire.
• CCI or ARRT/Florida Radiologic credentials may be required prior to hire.
• Education: HSD equivalency with 2 years experience OR assoc./tech degree OR 4 years job-specific experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead real-time monitoring of heart rhythms, pressures, and saturations during complex cases.
• Perform hemodynamic calculations and intra-procedure testing to support clinical decisions.
• Prepare specialized equipment and maintain sterile field for seamless procedures.
• Manage room setup and infection control to ensure a safe, organized environment.
• Provide patient education on post-procedure care and site monitoring.

• Schedule: Day shift l PRN

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead real-time physiological monitoring by vigilantly tracking heart rhythms, pressures, and saturations, acting as the primary early-warning system for the surgical team during complex cases.
• Support high-stakes clinical decisions by accurately performing hemodynamic calculations and intra-procedure testing to provide physicians with the precise data they need to pivot mid-case.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical suite by expertly preparing specialized equipment and maintaining a sterile field, ensuring every procedure flows seamlessly without a second of wasted time.
• Safeguard the clinical environment by managing room setup and rigorous infection control protocols, ensuring that every patient enters a safe, organized, and sterile space.
• Empower patient recovery by providing clear, compassionate education on post-procedure care and site monitoring, giving patients the confidence they need to manage their health after they leave our care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s)

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following:
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Radiologic Technology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date

Preferred Credential(s)

• Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• RCIS certified
• Radiologic Technologist with fluoroscopy or procedural experience
