Responsibilities

• Review imaging orders and determine urgency, distinguishing routine from special studies.
• Verify order accuracy and notify physician of discrepancies.
• Access CPRS to gather medical info for scheduling imaging appointments.
• Screen patients to determine eligibility and coordinates pre-procedure requirements.
• Inform patients of pre-appointment restrictions (labs, fasting, medication, etc.).
• Coordinate with ordering providers and radiology staff to ensure protocol and pre-procedure steps are met.
