Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including proficiency in medical terminology and prior medical practice experience.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, even under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointment requests for radiology services and related providers.
• Communicate insurance participation, financial responsibility, and time-of-service policy to patients.
• Obtain and register patient insurance and demographic information in Epic.
• Perform real-time insurance verification and explain requirements to patients.
• Coordinate pre-procedure testing and ensure documentation in Epic.
• Mentor other Specialists and escalate complex cases to supervision as needed.
• Handle physician messages and related queues.
