Job summary

The 61st Street Service Corporation supports ColumbiaDoctors by providing administrative and clinical staff to the Department of Radiology. The Patient Services Specialist II will join a team that handles high volumes of patient inquiries, scheduling diagnostic or interventional radiology services, and providing exceptional service.

You will manage pre-registration in Epic, verify insurance, coordinate appointments, and help patients navigate check-in and arrival instructions.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in a medical setting.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and prior medical practice experience.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, able to maintain professionalism under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointment requests for radiology services and coordinate with providers in Epic.
• Perform real-time insurance verification and communicate coverage requirements to patients.
• Verify and collect patient demographics, pre-registration data, and ensure accuracy in Epic.
• Guide patients on arrival, check-in, pre-appointment instructions, and safety procedures.
