Job summary

RadNet, Inc. is seeking a Patient Service Representative in Columbia, MD. You will greet patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and coordinate appointments within a fast-paced imaging center environment.

Responsibilities include scheduling, guiding patients through safety protocols, and safeguarding patient information, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Competitive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills
• Experience providing exceptional customer service; medical terminology knowledge and radiology office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Obtain or verify insurance and patient information; collect signatures and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Collect and log all co-pays and fees
• Answer and transfer incoming phone calls
• Schedule, reschedule or cancel appointments and notify staff of changes
• Provide patient orientation for preparatory and safety protocols; direct to facilities as needed
• Coordinate with back-office staff for timely patient care
• Safeguard patient information and on-site medications per policy and regulations
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers; respect boundaries and sensitivities
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families and the public in a clinical setting
• Develop cooperative working relationships with staff
