Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Radiology in the Northern Virginia/Maryland area. The role focuses on on-site emergency service, preventive maintenance, and installation support with revenue responsibilities. Emphasis on customer satisfaction and sales opportunity recognition.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics, IT Networking, Computer Science or relevant discipline required with 2 years of applicable experience or Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline
• Equivalent Military Experience/Training in Electronics, Aviation, IT or CS with 2 years of applicable experience can substitute for degree
• Technical trade skills in soldering, electrical installation & troubleshooting
• Prior experience in a customer facing role
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-directed environment
• Good verbal and written competencies; flexibility and good judgment
• Ability to prioritize workload to maximize revenue
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/databases
• Willingness to travel within territory and nationally
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations at end user sites using Bayer documentation
• Schedule and organize own work activities to ensure efficient operations
• Organize and re-order inventory valued at $20K for quality work and low defect visits
• Responsible for proper return of all defective inventory for replenishment
• Price service calls and offer discounts or convert to full contracts when needed
• Generate service revenue of up to $500K in the work group
• Prepare and develop sales quotes; contact end-user customers and dealers to finalize orders
• Interface with Service Admin/MSRC billing to ensure timely invoicing and assist in collections
• Generate customer interest and communicate to Service Marketing
• Generate and communicate leads to sales reps for opportunities
• Maintain company car, oil changes, tire rotations, and tools valued at $35-$45K
• Protect proprietary information from non-Bayer personnel
• Location: cover Northern Virginia and Eastern Shore of Maryland; travel up to 75%
