Job summary

Bayer AG in Woodbridge, VA seeks a Field Service Technician to provide on-site maintenance, repairs and installations at end-user sites. You will manage service calls, generate quotes and contribute to revenue goals while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires travel up to 75% of the time within Northern VA and the Eastern Shore of Maryland; a driving license is required and heavy lifting may be needed. Start date is contingent on location and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor in a relevant field with hands-on experience.
• Equivalent military training with 2 years of applicable experience considered as degree equivalent.
• Technical trade skills in soldering, electrical installation & troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations at end-user sites.
• Schedule and organize own work activities to ensure efficiency.
• Manage inventory valued at $20K and ensure quality visits.
• Return defective inventory for replenishment.
• Price service calls and develop quotes for contracts when needed.
• Generate service revenue up to $500K within the territory.
• Interface with billing processors and assist in collections as needed.
• Communicate leads to sales reps for new opportunities.
• Maintain company car and tools valued at $35–$45K.
